Isle of Faith travels to support missions through resources, generosity and service.
Dominican Republic Medical Mission - Through Medical Ministry International, Isle of Faith sends a team of nurses and assistants to the Dominican Republic for two weeks each summer to provide medical care to those who otherwise go without. They share the gospel through word, grace and service. For those who want to participate, one and two week trips are available. Contact Debbie White for information. Fresh Water Mission: Current Project
Fresh Water Mission's goal is to provide clean, safe water to communities in need around the world. Our projects provide a functioning deep water well and replacement of supply lines to existing dilapidated systems like the one the lady is using in this picture.
We raise funds through our summer water slide program "Water Fun with a Purpose," and during our annual fall Pumpkin Patch.
Our most recent project was in Las Salinas, Nicaragua in the municipality of Tola. Due to drought conditions, water availability has become even more extreme with individual wells drying up. Every community surrounding Las Salinas is also in need of clean, safe water as they are suffering with the same drought conditions. Many of their individual wells have also dried up. The wells that are still functional in this region are heavily contaminated with sodium due to their close proximity to the ocean and nearby salt mines.
